Scheduling a Meeting

One of the things I use to dread doing was trying to find a date and time for a group of people to get together. Then my best friend, Cathy introduced me to Doodle.com. This website offers a free service where people can schedule an event (meeting) or people can make choices (create a poll). This is a quick and painless way to find out when everyone is available at the same time and what they want to do.
Let me give you an example of scheduling a committee meeting.
- Go to Doodle.com
- Select Schedule Event (you can create an account, but it isn’t necessary)
- Enter your title of the event, a short description (optional), your name and E-mail address (optional).
- Select the dates you are available to meet.
- Enter the times you are able to meet on those dates.
- You will then receive two links. One that you will send to those you want to meet with and the other for you to use to make changes.
- Once everyone has selected the dates and times they are available, you can then select the date and time that everyone (or the majority) are available to meet.
It is that simple and eliminates so many emails going back and forth between everyone in the group. Doodle is now available to integrate with your Facebook account and your iGoogle account.
So the next time you are planning a dinner with a group of friends, I encourage you to try Doodle.com. Make your life and others simplier!
